AIWF Announces plans for World 6 Man Tag Team Titles

FRIDAY DECEMBER 23, 2011 - MT AIRY, NC - The Allied Independent Wrestling Federations (AIWF) announced yesterday their intentions to bring back a tradition to pro wrestling - The World 6 Man Tag Team Titles.  During the end of the year conference call today, the AIWF Board of Directors held a lottery to determine which affiliate would host the match to determine the new AIWF World 6 Man Tag Team Champions.

SCW / AIWF Northwest, by result of the lottery drawing and a Board of Directors vote, they were chosen to host the tournament.  SCW / AIWF Northwest now has until January 1, 2012 to announce the date of the match and the two teams that will be involved.  They have already been contacted by the Board of Directors during the Conference Call and will begin the search immediately.

"What a honor and a privilege it is to bring back such a traditional title into the world of professional wrestling.  Newer wrestling fans probably do not remember the classic battles that took place over the 70's and 80's between these legendary 6 man teams, but we hope that it will spark the interest of the long time wrestling fan and bring back some of the territorial days of wrestling," says Dean Puckett, AIWF President.
